Review

"This poet consistently finds powerful phrasing which evokes, at its best, a sort of spare longing and wistfulness. Crawford has the ability to focus and transform events common (and not so common) to us all, exacting from these events a record fashioned by a lawyer's sharp eye. The lines [from How They Stayed] 'dusty cattle stung by screwworm/as they drifted round the water tank' excellently example this poet's skill." - Houston Poetry Review
